Paslode technology helps speed renovation of Worthing Dome

Using traditional methods of fixing would have been far too slow for G & K Roofing Contractors who have been replacing the 95 year old roof of the historic Worthing Dome Cinema.

The Grade II listed building, which is currently undergoing a complete refurbishment, is due to re-open in May so G & K Roofing have chosen Paslode gas nailing technology to help speed up battening to support 30,000 Ffestiniog Welsh Grey Slates.

Three times quicker than using a conventional hammer, the Paslode IM350 gas nailer is capable of driving up to 1,000 nails an hour allowing G & K to speed through the rest of their contract which includes renewal of slates to the Dome tower, replacing clay tiles to front elevation and asphalting to balconies and flat roofing sections.

The Worthing Dome refurbishment is being financed by Heritage Lottery Funding and the main contractor is Longley, a regional division of Kier Group plc.
