ITW Construction Products
The construction market represents around 25% of ITW’s total worldwide turnover for ITW and one construction
division is ITW Construction Products, a leading manufacturer of fixing, fastening and drilling systems for wood,
steel and concrete applications. Through a number of brands the Construction Products division offers the
construction industry a wide range of products, primarily aimed at professional users, such as electricians,
carpenters and dry liners. Worldwide it has over 82 autonomous businesses in 24 countries and generates revenue of
over $2bn.
Manufacturing
In Europe, most of the Construction Products range is manufactured by ITW business units within the continent.
Supported by in house R&D, these technology focused manufacturing plants are registered to ISO 9001 and are
currently working towards the ISO 14001 Environmental Standards.
Products which are sourced from outside Europe from areas such as the Far East are done so responsibly so that
we can ensure they are produced ethically, to acceptable working standards, and maintain the quality standards we
would expect from all our suppliers.
Sales
Each European country is responsible for its own sales and marketing of the ITW Construction Products range.
This strategy fits with the ITW diversification philosophy which allows each unit to be close to their customers
and customize their offerings to the needs to their market.
ITW Construction Product UK & Ireland
In the UK we are commitment is to producing value engineered products, ensuring 'total site solutions' that help
the UK & Ireland construction industry improve their on site productivity.
With our two core brands Paslode and Spit we are able to provide the complete fixing, fastening and drilling
solution for the professional user.
Our 9000m2 warehouse storage capability in Crawley, West Sussex, supplies a nationwide distribution network of
national builder’s merchants and independent fixings and power tools distributors. Supported by regional sales
teams our distributors are conveniently located making it easy for our users to get the products they require
quickly and easily.
In keeping with the ITW philosophy of diversification, we have benefited from being focussed purely on the UK and
Ireland markets. It has allowed up to developing a strong understanding of our customer needs and develop a
product portfolio which is ideally suited to them. This understanding also allows us to drive product and
services development such as the Paslode Roofing Nail and the extensive range of training and technical support
we offer.
